David serves as Managing Director of Steadfast Venture Capital, an early stage investment firm based in New York City. Previously, he led Travelzoo's (NASDAQ:TZOO) global mobile and social business, overseeing consumer and merchant products in six countries, audience growth and P&L management. In 2008, David founded Scoop St., a local commerce company that revolutionized the way we shopped by leveraging the power of group buying online for small businesses and consumers. Featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Time Magazine and CNN amongst others, Scoop St. was recognized as one of the earliest pioneers in the group buying market. Scoop St. was sold in August 2011 to BuyWithMe, Inc. which was subsequently later acquired by Gilt Groupe.
David received his AB with Honors from Georgetown University, lives in Manhattan, and co-organizes Hackers & Founders - a monthly gathering of programmers and founders who "just ship" in the metro area. He also regularly blogs at data.insights.ideas.
