Dan Saltzstein is an editor at The New York Times Travel section. He began at the Times in 1999 as a producer for the web site, handling a variety of sections such as Home, Dining, Styles, and the Magazine.  Later he became the Arts editor for nytimes.com and oversaw the Arts, Book Review, and Week in Review sections, as well as the Magazine.  He has written and photographed for various sections, including Travel, Dining, Arts & Leisure, the Book Review and Metropolitan.
