Before traveling around the world with his family, Rainer Jenss was a 13-year veteran of National Geographic. During the yearlong journey, Rainer reported for National Geographic’s Intelligent Travel Blog, blogging about the experience and offering an inside look at life on the road traveling together as a family. Subsequently, his “Jenss Family Travel Blog” was recognized as one of the Top 25 Family Travel Blogs by Babble.com in 2011 and 2012. Having traveled to over 60 countries, he founded Smart Family Travel, Inc. and works with Scholastic, Galavante Media, and Glamping.com to promote the benefits of family travel.  He was also recently names AFAR’s special correspondent for family travel.
