Think you’re a geography expert? Test your knowledge with BBC Travel’s
Geoguessr – the game that proves how well you know the world!
Already a viral success online, Geoguessr is being brought to the NY Trav Fest floor by BBC Travel, allowing attendees to try their hand at the world’s most addictive travel game. Played using Google Street View, Geoguessr drops you randomly anywhere in the world, and challenges you to figure out where you are using every bit of your world knowledge. Where do those trees typically grow? Do you recognize that language? Does this setting seem familiar? What side of the road are those cars driving on? Compete on your own, ask other travelers for advice, set a time limit, challenge a friend – it’s all possible!
Applauded by BBC Travel readers for being “the coolest game ever,” “great for classroom use,” “time well spent” and the reason a reader broke his New Year’s resolution to spend less time procrastinating – Geoguessr is a game that reminds us over and over again of the exploratory spirit that inspired us to see every corner of the world.
The world’s a huge place – get playing!
